Duties & Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide prompt, courteous, and personalized service during every interaction.
- Build strong customer relationships by actively listening, answering questions, and resolving routine concerns in a professional manner.
- Process deposits, withdrawals, payments, transfers, and other transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Cash checks and disburse funds after verifying signatures, identification, endorsements, and account balances.
- Accept deposits and confirm the accuracy of all transaction details.
- Prepare, verify, and issue cashier’s checks.
- Accurately enter transactions into the bank’s operating system and provide customers with appropriate receipts and documentation.
- Review checks and other negotiable instruments for completeness, authenticity, and compliance with bank policies and applicable regulations.
- Identify opportunities to educate customers about products and services that may meet their financial needs and make referrals when appropriate.
- Balance cash drawers and reconcile daily transactions using established procedures and technology.
- Receive and verify daily inventories of cash, drafts, and other negotiable instruments.
- Maintain the security and confidentiality of cash, customer information, and sensitive records.
- Prepare currency items for shipment or deposit with branch locations or the Federal Reserve.
- Monitor and order cash supplies to ensure adequate operational needs.
- Support branch goals by contributing to a positive team environment and assisting coworkers as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with local commercial clients through networking, referrals, and community involvement

Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of commercial lending, credit analysis, or banking experience
- Strong understanding of financial statements, underwriting, and credit risk
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance standards

- Experience working in a community bank environment
- Established relationships within the Eastern West Virginia market
- Formal credit training or lending certifications

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to Commercial Loan Officers.
- Prepare loan packages and collect documentation necessary for underwriting and loan approval.
- Order appraisals, title work, flood determinations, UCC searches, environmental reports, and other required due diligence items.
- Coordinate loan closings with borrowers and internal departments.
- Prepare and review loan documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Monitor loan files to ensure all required documentation is received before and after closing.
- Assist with loan renewals, modifications, extensions, and annual reviews.
- Track financial statements, tax returns, insurance policies, and other required customer documentation.
- Maintain commercial loan files in accordance with bank policy and regulatory requirements.
- Communicate with customers regarding documentation requests, loan status, and routine servicing needs.
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries.
- Assist in preparing reports for management and regulatory examinations.
- Maintain tickler systems to ensure timely collection of financial information and covenant compliance.

- Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field preferred.
